Hu Huang presents at the Bioinformatics Short Course 2014

Hu participated in the Bioinformatics Short Course 2014 hosted by the Iowa Institute of Human Genetics (IIHG) July 28-30, to introduce the basic concepts of metagenomics and the computational analysis in microbiome studies. In a separate talk, Hu demonstrated the QIIME pipeline to help the audience understand bioinformatics analysis in metagenomics.

Dr. Dan Knights is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Biotechnology Institute at the University of Minnesota. The Knights lab models host-microbiome interactions in human disease, with labs in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Knights is a PI with the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute.
